Research and Oral History The Research and Oral History Group will provide the important History background to Folkestone’s early past. Volunteers will work with local museums, archives and libraries to uncover existing knowledge and to generate new insights into the past. Those with an interest in oral history will have the opportunity to collect the memories and stories that are associated with the key landscape sites, as well as interviewing archaeologists and others working on the project, to record new knowledge

Meeting the Past – Events and Education Group  Volunteers in the Events and Education Group will work with advisors, curators and artists to help develop materials, displays and events for the community and schools.  Recent events include a presentation to a community group at Cheriton Baptist Church (9th February), a publicity event at Cheriton Tesco (Friday and Saturday, 18th and 19th February), and the ATU Open Forum (22nd February), which introduced the Oral History Project to the public.  Upcoming events
